Friday Announcements/Next week's tests

Tests/Assessments next week:

• Division Quiz 2 on Tuesday
• 9 week reading comprehension assessment - done in class, nothing to prepare for  :)
• Write Score Diagnostic Test - Wednesday - done in class, nothing to prepare for  :)
• Science Test on Wed. for Tag, Thursday for everyone else (see study guide posted with answers on Thursday)
• Math Test on Multiplication and Division Unit 3 on Friday
• Multiplication Timing (we have a weekly timing on Fridays - 36 facts in 3 minutes for the rest of the year!)
• No Spelling Test :)
• No Vocabulary Test  :)

ITBS Week of 10/22-26:  There will be NO TESTS or HOMEWORK the week of ITBS!!!!!!!!!!  We will be studying 3 new American Heroes and reviewing some of the math from the last 9 weeks, but we will have no ELA or Math curriculum due to testing from 8-11 each day.

Please also remember that I will be out of the country from 10/19 to 10/28 and unable to respond to any emails, notes, etc.  Mrs. Juli Eelman, former MBES teacher (2nd and 3rd grades-some of the kids even had Mrs. Eelman last year!) will be my substitute while I am gone.  She is absolutely wonderful!

Update to Science Study Guide: 

What is the Mohs Scale?  A scale that orders minerals from 1 – 10 based on their hardness.  A mineral that scores a 1 on the Mohs scale is the softest.  A mineral that scores a 10 on the Mohs scale is the hardest.
