We will be memorizing all of the states by the holiday break.  Maps are all over CRCT, and in general it's important to know the states.  The placemats from Target/Walmart are great ways to practice!  I am also planning to laminate some blank maps as they learn the states.  They already have 13 down because of the colonies!  :)
