Adjectives Review

Adjectives:

Comparative
-comparing 2 things

Superlative
-comparing more than 2 things

Comparative:  -er or more  (ER)
-1 or 2 syllables: add –er
-more than 2 syllables:  use more  
(there will always be exceptions though)
*always check:  does the word sound weird?
Superlative:  -est or most (ST)
-1 or 2 syllables: add –est
-more than 2 syllables:  use most

Bad and Good…..
You will never be the baddest or the goodest…
Bad:    comp:  worse  super:  worst
Good:  comp:  better super:  best

Articles:  a, an, the
-special type of adjective used to describe nouns based on singular or plural noun, and if the noun has a consonant or vowel sound
a – singular nouns that begin with a consonant sound
an - singular nouns that begin with a vowel sound
the – both singular and plural nouns with both vowel and consonant sounds
