    • Use pg. 69 f/b to help study!
    • Pictograph practice
      • The class did SO well today with reading and creating tally tables and pictographs today.  We used multiplication and division to determine how many items based on the key are needed to represent a number.  For example:  10 kids chose soccer as their favorite sport.  If the key, a picture of a soccer ball, represents 2 kids, five soccer balls would represent the number of kids on a pictograph.  We used multiplication to find how many children chose a sport, based on a multiplication problem:  if the key reads that 1 ball represent 2 kids, then 6 balls would be represented with the multiplication equation 6x2 (or use the commutative property 2x6)
      • We touched on multiplication and division being inverse operations, and using fact families.  We even discussed remainders!  (this is unit 4 stuff...woo!)
  • Science
    • Bring in rocks as you find them for next week's Rocks, Minerals, and Soil unit
  • Book Order is open!
